Seminar:'EU Funding for Migration and Asylum: New Call for Proposals and Best Practices'

Using a bottom-up approach, the purpose of the seminar is twofold: (1) to discuss with the Member States the type of guidance required from the Commission so as to succeed in receiving EU funding for migration and asylum as well as to effectively and efficiently apply the relevant legal bases on implementation, monitoring and evaluation; (2), to identify good practices and best funded projects. With the advent of the new call for proposals, future funding opportunities and strategic guidelines on how to make the best use of the Integration Fund will be discussed.

Dit onderzoeksinstituut streeft ernaar om de kennis van ambtenaren die zich met de EU bezighouden te vergroten door het ontwikkelen en aanbieden van uiteenlopende hoogwaardige diensten zoals lespakketten. Het instituut wil wetenschappelijke kennis en praktische 'know-how' met elkaar verbinden. Het European Institute for Public Administration (EIPA) bestaat al meer dan 25 jaar.

Het EIPA doet onderzoek en organiseert seminars, cursussen en Master opleidingen. In 2007 namen 11.770 nationale en Europese ambtenaren deel aan door het EIPA georganiseerde seminars. Bovendien voeren medewerkers van het instituut consultancy opdrachten uit. Het instituut is georganiseerd in drie units: Europese Besluitvorming, Openbaar Management en Vergelijkende Bestuurskunde en Europees Beleid. Bij het EIPA werken ruim 150 hoogopgeleide medewerkers.
